1.)Tell us about your current role and designation at Future Group.
My current role is as an Assistant Manager, handling the Pan India profile with Future Group telecom business under the name of T24. My profile is kind of a generalist role.
2.) Describe a typical day at work.
My typical day starts with sending the thought for the day to all people in our Future Group, followed by wishing a beautiful and nice day to my team, which includes seniors and juniors. Then, I usually prepare my work to be done that day and start to meet my defined deadlines of committed work to team-mates. As the day passes I make plans for the next day or week up until Saturday. Later, I interact with my team.
3.) Please share with us three things you like and dislike about your job.
Likes: My HR team; my workday time of only 9 to 5 p.m. and job profile which allows me a space to read and surf on the net to learn more.
Dislikes: Negative people around me; the office is very far away – it takes 1.5 hours to reach home.
4.) What are the two most important skills required to be successful in your particular field and how can an MBA student work toward it?
Two important skills needed are interpersonal skill and a friendly, easy to approach nature. An MBA is all about managing. It’s up to us how we learn and implement our practical learning into our life, be it professional or personal. People are the same all around, it’s just the matter how you tackle situations with patience.
5. Where do you see yourself in five years?
I can honestly saying I don’t plan much ahead – I plan for today, do my best and on that basis, trust in God in terms of my honesty and hard work toward my work.
6.) Do you have a word of advice for KIAMS students?
KIAMS – a place where we learn how to be happy and live as one, in difficult and bad times, together, keeping our cultural values in mind.
7.) Describe an interesting incident during your student life which you would like to share with current students.
Actually there are very small interesting incidents from KIAMS. KIAMS gives full freedom to do anything, but not to hurt others and I gained the confidence to stand by my words if I’m right.
