It was the day when students of KIAMS, Pune could express gratitude to their faculty members who make such immense contribution in their lives. It was the Teacher’s Day after all and the students had done everything possible to ensure that it was a day that would be remembered. There were several fun filled and exciting activities lined up for the day as the students did their best to show their beloved faculty members a good time.
It all began when the faculty members walked in at the venue amidst thunderous applause. The air was filled with deep emotion as class representatives of the Batch 18 delivered speeches that expressed their gratitude towards the faculty members. The proceedings soon took on a light turn as the teachers took part in a number of games that were organized for them by the students to make sure they had a great time.
The Fun Match Stick game had the teachers making Roman numbers with the help of matchsticks. It was interesting to see the role reversal as the students were egging their teachers on to excel. Needless to say the faculty team did perform commendably in the game with all the encouragement and applause they got. The game of identifying the Bollywood movie from the dialogue in it was another crowd pleaser.
Finally, they had to sing songs with a chosen word and that gave a melodious turn to the evening. The musical bar was raised up a few notches by solo signing performances of Prof. Gopal Iyengar and Nikhil Ingle, student of Batch 18. The day’s events ended on a sweet note as a large cake was cut to mark the occasion. The faculty team was touched by the handmade card that had thoughtful messages written on them, putting students’ gratitude in words.
